Global iron ore long-term outlook Q2 2014

Global iron ore long-term outlook Q2 2014

Report summary

The net impact of adjustments to our supply and demand forecasts has resulted in a more closely balanced market than previously thought for the next 2 years. This is almost entirely due to our expectation for a more rapid displacement of Chinese production with seaborne iron ore, with the process being largely complete within two years.  We have lowered our price forecast for 2014-2016 to reflect the lower price support level from China, but made a small upward adjustment thereafter.
