Report summary

The refined market is forecast to a significant deficit this year from a largely balanced market last with refined production likely to be impacted by further delays and cancellations of new Chinese projects. Our medium term view is unchanged since last quarter with supply side shortages tougher environmental regulation and refined market deficits still expected to prevail. Global lead demand growth will remain above 4% p.a. as many economies continue the recovery from economic weakness.
