Report summary

Reported cuts in Chinese stainless production have enhanced the bearish expectations for near term nickel prices. At the same time a swing in favour of low Ni 200 series has cut primary nickel uptake to less than previously expected. As a result our outlook for the next two years is for a market much closer to balance than previously indicated and for low nickel prices to continue.
