Commodity Market Report
Global nickel short-term outlook November 2021
Report summary
Nickel prices fluctuate on market uncertainty until a Filipino proposal to restrict ore exports triggers a rally. Power rationing in China eases but further restrictions will curb stainless output in the next few months. Stainless remains strong elsewhere, especially in Europe. Indonesia continues to expand not only its stainless capabilities but also MHP and matte, while the US agrees to undo the 232 trade tariffs.
