Global zinc short-term outlook January 2016

Global zinc short-term outlook January 2016

Report summary

We assume that the zinc price will continue to be the victim of negative sentiment despite the development of stronger fundamentals during the year and forecast an average price of $1633/t during the first nine months of the year. The improving fundamentals will manifest in the drawdown of what are currently adequate levels of global concentrate stocks and by early Q3 we forecast that global concentrate stocks will fall to minimum working levels.
