Hamersley - Brockman 2 iron ore mine

Report summary

Brockman 2 is a conventional open cut mine and one of Rio Tinto's wholly owned Hamersley group of operations. It is located approximately 55 kilometres north-west of Tom Price. Mining at Brockman 2 is currently carried out across seven pits and it produces 16Mtpa. Remaining reserves are limited and we have modelled the mine ceasing production in 2021.
