Located in Qinghai Province near Xining City. Commissioned in November 2007 at a capital cost of RMB1bn.  Utilises a single 125MVA EAF and 4 PMVA "convertors". The smelter produces NPI with a grade of around 10% Ni. This is a Fe-Ni-Cr operations which commenced construction in March 2007 and was commissioned in November.
