Jinjiang Group was founded in 1993 through the merger of 10 chemical companies. Over the years, the company expanded their involvements into green energy, non-ferros metals, chemicals,new materials,trading and finance. Jinjiang Group's business covers all value chain of aluminium from bauxite mine to downstream in China. In 2017, Jinjiang Group was the world's 7th largest producer by alumina equity production and the 19th largest producer of primary aluminium in China. With 6 alumina refineries, 3 aluminium smelters and 2 bauxite mines across China, Jinjiang is the second largest alumina producer in China. In recent years, Jinjiang has made it to the top 10 aluminium producers with expansions in Ningxia and Inner Mongolia.
