Asset Report
Kalana gold mine project
Report summary
Completion of Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and approval of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) were achieved in March and April 2016 respectively. An optimised feasibility study (OFS) was produced in January 2017. Kalana was planned as an a open pit operation with a mine life of 18 years. Average gold production was estimated at 101koz/a. Since taking over the project, Endeavour Mining has launched an optimisation study on the previous DFS, looking at the option of expanding the plant capacity to increase average annual production and shorten mine life. An updated Pre-Feasibility Study was published in February 2021, which envisaged a mine life of 11 years, with annual average gold production at 150koz/a.
