Report summary

Kings is a Fortescue Metal Group's (FMG) mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is one of two mines that make up the Solomon Hub, Firetail is the other mine. The mine was officially opened in March 2014 and has a production capacity of 45 Mtpa. FMG will develop the nearby Queens Valley deposit which will extend the life of its low alumina Kings Fines product. The US$287 million capex will be funded from operating cash flows.
