Kisladag gold mine
Report summary
Kisladag is an open pit operation that utilises conventional mining methods. Ore is processed using conventional three stage crushing (crush size P80 of 6.5mm) followed by heap leaching with cyanide. In early 2020, Eldorado announced a revised mine plan encompassing a 15-year mine life supported by new mineral reserve estimates that were based on the completed long-cycle heap leach testwork and the replacement of the tertiary crushing circuit with a high-pressure grinding roll (HPGR) circuit. The testwork indicated that increased leach time, along with HPGR, increases heap leach life of mine recovery to approximately 56% and extends mine life through 2034. Our analysis models mine life till 2037, due to increase in mineral reserves announced in 2020. The property is owned by Tüprag Metal Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eldorado Gold Corp. Access to the site is by all-weather paved roads.
