Operated by a joint venture between Sayona Mining Ltd and Piedmont Lithium Inc, La Corne is a lithium mineral operation located in Quebec, Canada. La Corne first produced lithium products as an underground mine between 1955 and 1965. Subsequent attempts to redevelop La Corne as an integrated open pit mine have forced several companies into administration; however, Sayona acquired the asset in August 2021 as part of plans to develop an Abitibi Lithium Hub in Quebec. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
