Report summary

The La Oroya copper smelter was commissioned in 1922 to treat ores and concentrates from surrounding mines. The copper smelter forms part of a metallurgical complex that also includes lead and zinc smelters copper and lead refineries a precious metals refinery and antimony bismuth indium and arsenic trioxide plants.
