Leveaniemi iron ore mine

Report summary

The Leveaniemi mine is an old LKAB open pit mine in the Svappavaara region of Sweden, 40 kilometres southeast of Kiruna, that has been drained to allow production to re-start. Production from Leveaniemi re-started in 2015 and is ramping up to its capacity of 4Mtpa of iron ore pellets.
