NiCoMo 2017: key takeaways in nickel, cobalt and molybdenum

Report summary

On 7 and 8 March, we attended the NiCoMo days of Argus Metals Week in London. The conference was mainly concerned with important markets for nickel, cobalt and molybdenum, especially superalloys and aerospace. Cobalt was the hot topic, on the strength of a rapid price escalation in the past two to three months. Molybdenum also elicited considerable optimism thanks to improvements in the oil and gas sector. This insight summarises the meeting’s main talking points.
