Report summaryOkayama is the site of Tokyo Steel's first steel plant. It is the second largest plant by crude steel capacity in Tokyo Steel's portfolio after the new Tahara plant. The plant produces, hot and cold rolled coil, hot dip galvanised coil and sections and rebar. Tokyo Steel's Okayama EAF plant consists of two EAFs, one 150 tonne AC EAF and one 140 tonne DC EAF. Both plants are older and less energy efficient than some of the models at Tokyo Steel's newer plants.
