Report summary

Corrego do Feijao is a mid-sized surface mine and part of Vale's Paraopeba complex, ultimately falling under Vale's Southern System operations. The mine is located in Brazil's Iron Quadrangle and is approximately 20 kilometres south-west of the city of Belo Horizonte.Production at the mine was suspended in 2014 and because of limited reserves remaining we do not expect it to restart.Corrego do Feijao was one of the smallest, oldest and least efficient mines from Vale, which made it one of their highest cost operations.
