Report summary

Mar Azul is a mid sized surface mine and part of Vale's Paraopeba complex ultimately falling under Vale's Southern System operations. The mine is located in Brazil's Iron Quadrangle and is approximately 20 kilometres south west of the city of Belo Horizonte. Mining commenced at Mar Azul in 2006 and is assumed to have completed in 2014.
