Pinos Altos gold mine
Report summary
Pinos Altos is a combined open-pit and underground operation with ore processed via heap leaching and milling options to produce a gold-silver dore on-site. Higher grade ore is processed by crushing, grinding and gravity concentration in a 5.5kt/d Merrill-Crowe circuit while lower grade ore is heap leached. In 2021, the mine produced 127koz of gold and 1.3Moz of silver. In addition to the Pinos Altos mine, Agnico Eagle also operates the nearby Creston Mascota deposit which is the subject of separate analysis.
