Pinson comprises open-pit and underground mining targets. The mine is located along strike to the south-west of the Getchell and Twin Creeks operations. Following its closure in 1998, underground production commenced in 2014 with a mine operating permit allowing 400ktons of ore to be mined per year for off-site processing. High grade ore from Pinson underground mine was trucked 8 miles to Newmont Mining Corp.'s Twin Creeks autoclave for processing. The mine is currently assumed to be under care and maintenance. However, future production is based off the 2014 Pre-Feasibility Study for the development of the MAG open-pit with average annual gold production of 40koz/a over a 6 year mine life.
