Rio Tinto has announced that due to challenging market conditions Pacific Aluminium (PacAl) will be reintegrated into Rio Tinto Alcan (RTA). PacAl consists of the Australian based Gove bauxite mine and alumina refinery Boyne Island smelter and the associated Gladstone Power Station Tomago smelter Bell Bay smelter and New Zealand based Tiwai Point Smelter.
