Rio Tinto has announced that due to challenging market conditions, Pacific Aluminium (PacAl) will be reintegrated into Rio Tinto Alcan (RTA). PacAl consists of the Australian-based Gove bauxite mine and alumina refinery, Boyne Island smelter and the associated Gladstone Power Station, Tomago smelter, Bell Bay smelter, and New Zealand-based Tiwai Point Smelter.
