Rosebel gold mine
Report summary
Rosebel is an open pit operation that utilises conventional truck and shovel mining methods. The processing plant comprises a gravity separation circuit and carbon-in-leach (CIL) circuit with a nameplate capacity of 12.5Mt/a. The Government of Suriname granted a 25 year renewable Right of Exploitation of the Rosebel mine in 2002. The Rosebel property covers 170km2 in north central Suriname. In 2021, the mine produced 188koz of gold.
