South32 metals summary

Report summary

South32, the spin-off company of BHP Billiton that runs the aluminium, manganese, nickel, silver and some coal assets since May 2015, is a much simpler organisation with operating aluminium assets consisting of two bauxite mines, two alumina refineries and two aluminium smelters. The aluminium business of South32 is slightly short in bauxite but substantially long in alumina. Its primary metal assets are located in South Africa and Mozambique.
