Report summary
UC Rusal is one of the world’s largest primary aluminium producers. It formed through a three-way merger of Rusal, Sual and certain assets of Glencore in March 2007 and began trading on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in January 2010. Much of its primary aluminium capacity is located in Russia, with just the Sundsvall smelter in Sweden making up its operational overseas capacity. Bauxite and alumina operations are more scattered, and include locations in Guinea, Jamaica and Australia.
