Ventanas copper smelter

The smelter is located at Las Ventanas, 45km north of Valparaiso, Central Chile, and was commissioned in 1966. The smelting technology is Teniente Converter, the capacity of the smelter is 470 kt/a of concentrate (189kt/a copper). The sulphur capture levels are ~94%.
