Report summary
The majority of the available gold ore reserves lie in the Luipaardsvlei tribute area, acquired from Gold Fields in 1978. Gold reefs in the West Rand Cons. lease and in the tribute area include, South, Main, VCR, Kimberley and the White reef. Uranium production used to be derived from the White and Monarch reefs. Latterly, underground production was gradually scaled down, with the balance of mill throughput being derived from surface dumps.
