Mexico Salinas - Sureste exploration basin
Report summary
The Salinas-Sureste Basin in southeast Mexico encompasses several sub-basins stretching from onshore to ultra-deepwater. They hold a variety of play types that have yielded discoveries of dry gas to extra-heavy oil and everything in between. The Campeche sub-basin holds some of the largest fields found in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM), including the super-giant Cantarell complex. In July 2015, Mexico awarded exploration blocks to IOCs for the first time. This Exploration Basin report provides a detailed analysis of exploration performance and future potential, including location maps and details on costs, licensing and fiscal terms. We model prospect and play economics and forecast yet-to-find volume. This report is accompanied by excel downloads which detail costs, volumes and value.
