Asset Report
Mexico Tampico exploration basin
Report summary
Exploration activities in the Tampico Basin have been predominantly onshore. Three large blocks were awarded in the Tampico Basin in deepwater round 2.4 in 2018. The relatively low hit rate compared to the other basins reflects the higher-risk nature of the deepwater basin. This Exploration Basin report provides a detailed analysis of exploration performance and future potential, including location maps and details on costs, licensing and fiscal terms. We model prospect and play economics and forecast yet-to-find volume. This report is accompanied by excel downloads which detail costs, volumes and value.
