Report summary
Renewables contributed 27% to total power supply in Europe's five largest power markets in 2015. While production from coal fell last year, gas plants produced more power than in 2014 – although gas-fired output remains over 40% below its 2008 peak. This presentation and the accompanying datafile provide year-end estimates and historical data for power supply, net imports and demand. Temperature data analysis is also included in the datafile. Datafile updated April 2016.
