Indonesia power markets long-term summary H1 2014

Report summary

Further delays in planned power projects and a lack of alternative power supplies are clear indications of the aggravating power crisis in Indonesia in the coming years.  With the projected demand growth averaging more than 7% to 2025, we project that Java Bali, the main demand centre in Indonesia, will have a power deficit of about 2000 MW despite the same amount of power plants that are on track to come on line by 2017.
