On 25 February 2014, during the official opening of the Singapore LNG terminal, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced that the process to appoint the next LNG importer will take place by June 2014. Additionally, the Energy Market Authority (EMA) published its final determination paper detailing the two-stage process . Finally, details were also revealed on Singapore’s spot LNG import policy, piped gas import policy and the development of a secondary gas market.
