Report summary

Gas will retain its position as the biggest power supplier in Turkey competing with coal at the margin. In the long term efforts by the government to limit growth in gas imports, strong growth in renewable capacity and the introduction of nuclear power will diminish the supply share of established fuels. Government policy drives many of these developments with incentives for coal and renewable development.
