Report summary

Despite weakness in demand and natural gas prices, as well as the build out of renewable generation, our current forecast still finds support for market prices. Still, natural gas generation balances over the forecast are now seen lower as demand and renewable issues dominate. Markets in PJM, MISO, and SPP are expected to the largest changes. In the WECC, markets have already begun demonstrating the changes in operations and pricing that will occur as the industry works to reduce emissions.
