Canada product markets long-term outlook H2 2020
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Long-term outlook for the fundamentals of the Canadian oil products market. The damage to economic growth from the Covid-19 pandemic has reshaped the demand forecast for Canada. In this H2 2020 outlook, we have lowered our overall demand outlook from 2020 through 2050 as near-term impacts from Covid-19 from 2020 through 2024 coincide with an acceleration in the energy transition from 2025 through 2050. The pandemic’s impact on refining has proven longer and deeper than expected in our H1 outlook. However, the idling of Come by Chance in East Canada means utilisation will return to historic levels by 2022.
