Husky finds Superior value in additional refining
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The acquisition of Superior brings Husky's total refining capacity to 300 kb/d. The two asphalt terminals complement their existing asphalt business and the storage facilities afford additional flexibility in managing inventories. However, it is likely the driving motivation is to provide Husky with substantial integration of their West Canadian production and US refining operations, enabling them to capture the highest possible margin from each barrel of crude produced.
