Lithuania downstream oil long-term outlook 2015

Lithuania downstream oil long-term outlook 2015

Report summary

In 2013 and 2014 demand for oil products in Lithuania declined after a brief upturn in 2012 and we forecast this to continue through to 2025. Orlen Lietuva remained the only refiner in the Baltics and covered the majority of the country's requirements. Retail service station numbers were broadly static, although new environmental legislation is expected to lead to network consolidation, especially among the smaller independent sites. The dieselisation of the car parc means that we expect modest growth in the volume of diesel sold through the network, at the expense of gasoline.
