Commodity Market Report
Netherlands downstream oil long-term outlook
Report summary
The Netherlands is a large net exporter of oil products with a sizeable refining sector. These assets are well located for supplying inland demand as well as the large marine bunkering and export markets. The retail sector remains relatively dense compared to other western European countries. Retail gross margins remain some of the highest across Europe. Several fuel companies and charge point operators are competing in the EV charging market to serve the ever growing fleet of electric vehicles.
