China Steel Corporation (CSC) Kaohsiung works is the largest integrated steel plant in Taiwan. CSC Group are the parent company for CSC, although the latter operates as its own listed entity. Recent years have seen crude steel production at the plant rising following a revamp of the No.1 blast furnace in 2010. Located close to Taiwan's largest port, the Kaohsiung mill is entirely reliant on imports of iron ore and coal. CSC is aiming to be 30% self-sufficient in raw materials by 2017....
