Report summary

Since the discovery of the Vaca Muerta shale in 2011 Argentina has been one of the few non US countries to continue to host unconventional activity. The Agrio shale offers light oil potential in a country where crude prices are regulated by the government and are currently higher than international oil markers. Nearly the entire play area is thought to be liquids rich with thermal maturity values pointing to a large oil generation window.
