Agrio tight oil unconventional play
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Since the discovery of the Vaca Muerta shale in 2011, Argentina has been one of the few non-US countries with significant unconventional activity. The Agrio shale offers gas and light oil potential at shallower depths than Vaca Muerta. Gas-prone areas are well developed and show attractive productivities. Co-mingled production from different unconventional layers provides upside to well productivities and economics. Agrio offers light oil potential too - gaining a better understanding of the play's reservoir properties and thickness will be crucial to estimating oil resource potential.
