East Coast Canada - a review of 2013

Report summary

Deepwater exploration highlighted 2013 activity in the Canadian Maritimes. Statoil made two oil discoveries in the Flemish Pass, Chevron drilled its third Orphan Basin well since 2007, and Shell and BP plan to initiate drilling programmes in the Shelburne Basin in 2015 and 2017, respectively. At existing fields, Deep Panuke finally achieved official first gas, and Husky settled on a development concept for the western extension of White Rose.
