Report summary

The Kiskunhallas Trough is located in southern Hungary along the Serbian border. Toreador Resources drilled and initially tested the Balatoszallas Eszak 1 (BA E 1) well on the Tompa block in April 2009. The well was the first in the basin to be fracture stimulated. It was drilled to a depth of 3 620 metres (11 875 feet) encountering a 560 metre (1 840 feet) thick (gross) overpressured section of thin interbedded layers of siltstone shale and sandstone.
