Asset Report
Moesian Platform shale gas unconventional concept play (Romania)
Report summary
Romania's Moesian Platform shales have often been considered a viable alternative to help offset the country's declining output. However, the true extent of their potential remains unknown, as exploration has ground to a halt. Chevron previously operated acreage on the Moesian Platform, but a combination of environmental protests from locals and a temporary shale gas exploration ban caused the operator to exit.
