The Paraná-Chaco Basin extends over most of Paraguay and areas of southern Brazil, southern Bolivia, and northern Argentina. Within Uruguay, it is known as the Norte Basin and extends over 90,000 square kilometres (about 35,000 square miles). We model the Norte Basin as a wet gas play with associated liquids. Results from company testing activity have so far been encouraging, confirming the existence of an oil generation window and potential targets.
