Report summary

The high permeability gas content and optimum depths of the coal seams found in the Surat Basin make the Walloon Fairway one of the most attractive CBM plays in the world. Across the Basin the play can be variable but it is generally geologically attractive. The bulk of the basin's CBM reserves will be produced for the Pacific Basin LNG market via three greenfield LNG projects. A modest portion of the reserves will supply the domestic market.
