Report summary

Alta is an oil and associated gas field located in the Norwegian Barents Sea, around 50 kilometres south of Johan Castberg. The Alta discovery was made by Lundin Petroleum, 20 kilometres from the Gohta discovery. The field was discovered in the Loppa High area, in the same new Permian carbonate play as Gohta.The partners have carried out an extensive appraisal campaign on the field. Two appraisal wells and two sidetracks were drilled on Alta in 2015, which resulted in a reserves upgrade. ...
