On 12 February 2014 Apache announced an agreement to sell its Argentine portfolio to YPF for US$852 million. In a subsequent transaction YPF will transfer partial interests in seven Neuquén Basin assets mostly from Apache's portfolio to Pluspetrol for US$217 million. YPF will partner 50 50 with Pluspetrol in developing these properties that are prospective for unconventional developments.
