On 12 February 2014, Apache announced an agreement to sell its Argentine portfolio to YPF for US$852 million. In a subsequent transaction, YPF will transfer partial interests in seven Neuquén Basin assets, mostly from Apache's portfolio, to Pluspetrol for US$217 million. YPF will partner 50-50 with Pluspetrol in developing these properties that are prospective for unconventional developments.
