Report summary
Coucal lies 20 kilometres northeast of the giant Rabi field, onshore Gabon. It was discovered by Elf in 1987 during an intensive exploration period following the discovery of Rabi. Coucal was the first of the Rabi satellites to be developed in 1991.Avocette was discovered in 1989 and brought onstream in 1994. It is the largest satellite of Rabi.
