Balboa (EB 597) is a small oil and gas field located in the East Breaks protraction area of the Western Gulf of Mexico, approximately 10 kilometres (6 miles) northwest of the Boomvang development. Balboa was developed as a single-well subsea tie-back to the Boomvang spar.Exploration Balboa was discovered by Kerr-McGee in 2001 using Diamond's Ocean Quest semi-submersible.
