Report summary

The Barrancas licence contains two non-associated gas fields, Sipororo and Barrancas, which are being exploited as part of an integrated gas to power project. Both fields were discovered by Corpoven in the mid-1990s but were never developed. The fields were opened to private investors as part of Venezuela's 2001 gas licensing round and were licensed to Repsol YPF later that year.
